Why
Orion Lights come only in small quantities?
The
main reason limiting the production is that we only choose
rock salt that possesses the best physical properties suitable
for manufacturing of Orion Lights. Another obstacle that
determines the number of finished lights is the production
processes itself. Only about 50-60% of total amount of rock
salt brought from the salt mine is transferred into a
beautiful Orion Light.
Where
do the salt lamps come from?
There
are different salt crystal lamps on the market coming from
different parts of the world. In fact there are only two major
regions that the salt lamps come from. One is in Poland and
the other one is in Himalayas with salt mines in Pakistan or
India. The other sources, if claimed by some of the vendors, are
either very small or non existent, meaning invented for the
sales purposes only.
Do
Salt Crystal Lamps reduce in size or loose their ionizing
effect over time?
No, the
salt crystals never reduce in size nor lose their ionizing
effect. As long as you keep them away from water they will
always look the same. The
ionizing effect takes place on the molecular level and doesn't
involve loss of mass of the salt crystal.
What
size of Salt Crystal Lamp do you recommend to give the best
ionizing results?
The
rule of thumb is, the bigger room the bigger lamp or few
smaller lamps placed strategically around the room. Some
companies give recommendations as to the size of lamps and
rooms they are suitable for. We don't do that as we feel that
those numbers aren't accurate anyway. Instead we recommend
that people purchase what they feel would work for them best
or because they like the beauty of the particular lamp and
they just must have it.
Can I
keep my Salt Crystal Lamp on all the time?
Yes you
can. In fact a lot of our customers do that and they claim to
get the best ionizing effect,
where some just simply like the relaxing glow they give off.
Wouldn't
my electric bill go up significantly if the lamps stay on all
the time?
The
Lamps come with 20-40 watt bulbs and from experience we know
that the increase is small and most people don't even notice
it.
I
have tasted salt on my lips by having the salt lamp in my
house, is this normal?
It is
perfectly normal and expected. It means that your salt crystal
really works. Don worry when you can't taste the salt either,
not everybody is so sensitive to feel it.
I was
wondering if you have any studies that detail the quantity of
negative ions the lamps produce depending on the size and
light?
No we
don't have any studies and we don't intend to do them. We
simply know the salt works. There is proof of that in many
scientific papers showing how salt influences people and what
benefits it carries. For that we don't need any studies and
you only need an access to the internet and some time to find
the information and educate yourself.
Salt
crystal lamps work in several ways, and you decide which way
they are going to work for you. We don't sell them as
ionizers, but as the unique lighting.
I've
received a gift of your beautiful Salt lamp and am wondering
why it has to be lit to emit negative ions. They are not lit in their natural surroundings
and they are said to have the same great health effects.
The
process of ion exchange is accelerated by heat, however it
takes place whether the lamp is on or off.
Are
all Polish lamps the same?
There
is only one salt mine in Poland that the salt to make the
lamps comes from. However not all the salt coming from the
salt mine is the same. It all depends on which deposits are
being currently mined. In general all polish lamps would be
very similar and the looks will only depend on who made it.
